Combining research, direct observation, and poetic associations, Starr’s mixed media works and artists books utilize cross-references to better understand current social and political conundrums. Tales of the Future features two murals, a new comic book as well as two artist books, Flags, Placards, and Illicit Climbers of the Capitol Insurrection (January 6, 2021); Bank Tellers of America versus The Aryan Republican Army (1992-1996).
